Lismore Pie Cart

They do other things, but they know what I like is the lie and they are generous in rich, generous in ingredients and super delicious. open long hours for this small town and always friendly. they can add a few dollars to their salary. there is money to help people who are less happy than them. I'm going to the cake is the steak animals. a real offer. my friend like the duck and the mushroom. They even have an egg that benedict for those of us still pissed on the egg path and that's still me. the torts are made as if you are not practiced at eating, for the first time it is worth getting a plate, a cutlery and sitting. yes, there are many tables and chairs. they can get boiled and maic if they want and fruit drinks that are ice cold. to be on the beautiful magellan road, it is always beautiful for people to observe among the shaded trees. a good cheaper way to enjoy the different and interesting passersby when little ole lissie.

The staff was extremely welcoming and the variety of pies available is extensive. My husband tried the Mexican Veggie Roll and really liked it. I opted for the duck and mushroom pie, which was absolutely delicious with a rich and flaky pastry. We sat outside at tables provided under the shade of a large tree. It was a lovely lunch experience.

As always when in Lismore I visit the pie cart. I was wrapped up warmly but the wind was cold and blowing strong, just the right time for a hot pie. With many types to chose from I settled on steak and kidney pie and...a cappuccino.I filled out my details as for corona virus and sat down at a table in the footpath. The pie was tasty and hot but I found the coffee too strong for my liking. I will return.

We have tried pies from the Pie Cart Lismore a few times, hoping it would be better or change from our previous visits....but sadly we must say we have not liked the food we have purchased on any of our visits! This was very disappointing...as it seems busy we love pies, we have travelled even up to as far as Brisbane to sample try different pies! (Oh the stories we could share . So we were really hoping The Pie Cart would change, or be better each time we went back, but sadly was just disappointed each time.... wish i had of spent our time money over the South side bakery instead, as they have the BEST Potato Pies etc (they also supply the Nimbin Bakery, so if you are in Nimbin try a Potato Pie from the bakery....if they have any left! Sorry Pie Cart....need big improvements, as your pies are just not nice compared to others better! Sad really, as the idea itself, even the cart idea could have been a real winner!

Excellent variety of options, with a consistently efficient and friendly staff. The recent floods have caused some delays, but we hope they will be back to full speed soon.
