The Irish Arms - Lisdoonvarna

Worst experience. Never again. The publican was so rude and I would never go to the pub again as the staff was so rude.

Stopped off here for a meal. Opted for the fish. Asked for mashed potato and veg instead of chips and salad. Mash was ok. The fish was terrible (tough in parts to eat), didn't seem to be fresh. Veg seemed to be frozen veg. Not worth the money. Also, had a glass of Guinness which didn't taste good. Went to pay the bill and was being charged for a coffee which I didn't have. Service was average. Better off going to the local chipper for food and The Ritz hotel for a drink.

While driving through lisdoonvarnagh deciddd to stop for a bite or drink. Entered the bar asking to see back seating area to see if there were sheltered from the sun as had baby with us ‘ husband and baby were waiting out front for me) Saw a male member of staff, asked to check seating area, he ‘muttered’ loudly ‘for f#€k sake’ So I just left quite shocked, told my husband and we just drove on to the next town for food instead. Bad experience.

Met at the door by a thin young man with the sourest puss you have ever seen. Was told where to sit and left sitting there. Even though it was meant to be table service, after ten minutes I got up and asked for a drink. He said a girl would come to the table for the food order and scowled when I said I would like to have a drink while looking at the menu. Eventually I got served a drink by this mans daughter who had the exact same attitude to customer service. Food was ok but overall the atmosphere created by the front of house staff, ruined the evening. Will definitely will never go back.

We stopped off in The Irish Arms Lisdoonvarna on our way to Fanore. 2 guys were serving. Really friendly. Food was excellent as was the service. Very nice to our 3 Yr old. Would definitely recommend it highly and only that im very happily married I'd b back in September. Lol. 5*
