Excelente restaurante ai junnto ao jardim Constantino. Quarta feira cozido!

We discovered this restaurant by chance and we found ourselves to be very lucky. Just after we ordered our food, we got somelocal goat cheese, ham and warm bread. We knew that it is tipical in Portugal that the waiter presents you with this food and that you are not obligated to eat it. If you eat some or all of it, you will pay for what you ate. Means: if you just eat half the cheese, your bill will be charged for just half of the cheese. This is also what our waiter confirmed. The ambient was fantastic with beautiful glass decorations. The service was friendly and open. Regarding the meal at the time, we chose intentionally from Prato do Dia because its what the locals would choose that day. My husband ordered a grilled salmon with spinach and boiled potatoes and I had cutlets with an unbelievable and undescribable creme of mushrooms. Its was so fantastic and the taste was of delicate mushroom, meat, pepper and butter. I was tempted to lick the plate : The meat and sauce was accompanied with abundant boiled rice and french fries. Great service and relation quality and price.

Recommended by our hotel, we went to check out this small restaurant in Lisbon. And we really liked it. We didn't have any fish, but the meat was splendid. A small tapas starter with cheese and smoked ham was very good, and both the kebab and Portuguese steak were just the way we ordered. We didn't have dessert, so no review on that, but all in all a good restaurant.

Excelent place! Try it to have a taste of traditional portuguese confort food. A tip: the fish is normally excelent. Either grilled or in rice (rich, moist rice, the portuguese style . Also octupus, squid, or sea food when its in the menu. There is a good choice of entries too (try some cheese, or pork ham 'presunto ' . Great choices of portuguese fine wines, to go along with meat, fish or sweet. And always some very tipical deserts (ask for the staff advice on the sweats ; . Honest food, honest prices, family environment. And right in the center of Lisbon.
