Contribuiți la feedbackI had lunch here yesterday with some travelling friends. The service was very friendly and quick. The serving staff all spoke English and the food was divine. We enjoyed typical Portugueses dishes like acorda de gambas and pataniscas de bacalhau. Did i mention the ice cold tap beer. The best. If you are near Belem drop in for a meal. a very prleasant experience.
The food was delicious and the portions were good- on the big side. The only thing that ruined my experience is the fact that they charged us for cheese and olives which we did not have. Unfortunately, it looks like we were not the only ones to be charged by mistake , a company of four next to us complained about the same thing. It is a shame really to treat tourists like that.
A nice and cheap place to have a meal at lunch or dinner. We went for lunch during the week (recommended to go before 1 or 12:30, if you can, on week days to avoid the workers crowd, if you want). The menu is diverse, including meats, fish and other dishes. The food is tastey and you get good portions for the price you pay (which is quite economical). Note that you get bread and butters/pate and olives when you arrive and if you eat them some charge is made (not much but just so you aren't surprised). It is located close to the train station so very easy access.
Lots of places on the Rua Vieira how do you choose ? Look for diners who look like you is one way. Yes we ate the starters a high quality Queijo Seco and the olives 6 euros out of 37 but that suited what followed. Dourada (Dorada) with green beans ,beetroot and potatoes plus a separate main of Prawn salad. Super chocolate mousse and a delicate white house wine. Friendly service and inside or outside tables on offer
White sangria made to order, fresh squid, salad. All perfect for a summer night sitting by the park.
