Located between two José Avillez restaurants, it is good enough to hold its own, serving up delicately balanced traditional Portuguese dishes of a calibre comparable, if not better than it's neighbours. During lunchtime, it serves a choice of two dishes, either a seafood dish (peixe or meat (carne , both of which are 7€, and for dinner, there is a larger selection of Portuguese tapas. Of the lunch menu, our favourite was the roast pork coupled with a soft roasted apple. Other notable dishes to try include the vegetable soup (2,50€ and the chocolate delight dessert (3,50€ (a gooey, decadent chocolate cake . Service was equally as excellent our host was friendly and spoke good English, describing each dish and helping us make our selections. Overall, we would not hesitate to return to this restaurant again if ever in Lisbon. If we could rate this place higher than 5 stars, we would!
Nice and small familiar restaurant. All home-made portuguese tapas. Just sit there, and let them to advise and recommend you, you won't regret! TIP: the croquettes are a MUST! Sadly, I discovered it just my last day in Lisboa, but for sure I will dinner there on my next visit to the city
This place was friendly and delicious. They serve Portuguese-style tapas, and every dish was great. It was reasonably priced: two of us shared four dishes at less than 30 euros.
My friend is an omnivore, and I'm a vegan. We were looking for traditional Portuguese food for her, plus vegetables for me. This was a wonderful restaurant to stumble across. The woman who served us spoke great English (very helpful for me! and pointed out the vegan items. They were delicious, and my friend was delighted with the meat and dessert options, too. We loved this place!
The fish stew and vino verde were absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and the toilets were clean. Quiet but nearish the beach.
