Pizzeria Mari Del Sud - LIPARI

Some aspects of Mari Del Sud are lovely. In others very disappointing. Not really a 4 Star Hotel, 3 Star would be more appropriate. The rooms are good, though some things (like rusty guttering with big holes) let them down in aesthetic terms. Also our bed sheets were not changed in 2 weeks. The gardens are lovely, the location is great. Breakfast was poor, for choice and quality. The restaurant was overpriced compared to the competition in the nearby area. There was no children's menu, so you get adult portions. Staff generally were great, Craig in particular was exceptional and a real asset! Overall the biggest disappointment was what was said on the website and what we discovered. This is not set up for children! The playground was dirty and uncared for. The jacuzzi areas in the pool didn't work. The pool bar rarely opened, but when it was very expensive. We have 2 young children (4 and 5), there was no childcare of any sort. So for us as parents we had a change of scene but were not really able to relax at all. So if you are a couple with no children it is somewhere to consider, but if you have children personally I would choose somewhere that has had more thought and investment applied for the whole family.

Beautiful resort and environments, the staff had outstanding service, friendly and so helpful. The food was amazing a true taste of Italy! And the Bartender, Samuel, made amazing drinks. Overall the resort and the staff over exceeded all our expectation! We highly recommend Mari del Sud and will definitely come back !

Wonderful, relaxing, everything we expected and more. My husband and I spent three nights at the Mari Del Sud. They have lovely resort grounds. It is on the side of the island that is NOT stinky with sulfur. Thank goodness. The pool was clean, the room was comfortable with a private bathroom and patio and the staff was very helpful. The restaurant was open for breakfast until 10am, lunch 12:30-2:30 and dinner 7:30 on. I was concerned about being able to eat gluten free, but my fears were quickly eased. I was able to eat Sanza glutine. The chef and restaurant manager were very knowledgeable about cross contamination and even provided GF bread with lunch and breakfast muffins. We ate there for several meals and I didn 't feel sick once. It is in walking distance to all of the island restaurants. They even helped us book a kayak tour. Overall it was a wonderful experience on Volcano at Mari Del Sud that I would highly recommend.

è la seconda volta che scegliamo il vulcano come destinazione delle nostre vacanze e siamo tornati ai mari del sud. abbiamo trovato il resort molto migliorato, nei servizi, ma soprattutto nel personale. sempre sorridente, molto utile ad ogni esigenza. Ci hanno sempre coccolati. il direttore storico, signor Archprite, con il suo sorriso contagioso sempre presente e risoluto. Sebastiana, antonio e giuseppe alla reception ci hanno accolto bene e dato tutte le informazioni possibili per vivere l'isola al meglio. colazione al ristorante, delizioso, con prodotti fatti in casa e sempre fresco. Erika in piscina una delizia e manuel, la guardia della vita, semplicemente fantastico. la spiaggia di sabbia nera a pochi passi con una vista mozzafiato del vulcano, cosa chiedere di più. Non vediamo l'ora di tornare. Grazie ragazzi, grazie direttore

Ho soggiornato insieme alla mia famiglia ai mari del sud nel periodo di luglio, inutile dire della bellezza del paesaggio immerso nella natura più assoluta, non appena sono entrato nella struttura sono stato subito accolto dal personale delizioso e gentile della struttura. le camere erano pulite e fragranti. È stato possibile godere della piscina per quasi tutto il giorno che è stato piacevolmente trascorso insieme con i bagnanti e il barista che a mio parere erano troppo bello. per quanto riguarda la cucina mi sono goduto molto la cucina tipica eolica che ha offerto il ristorante con prezzi molto normali fattoria che era estate e che il vulcano è un'isola turistica, il personale era molto cordiale e competente. in poche parole un'esperienza da fare almeno una volta quando si desidera soggiornare in un vulcano
