Personal favorites are the Salat Perigordin, Aile de Raie and the Cook Steak (order it boiled Bleu and... it will arrive Sizzling). The staff is friendly and courteous, it helps when you speak a bit of French, but hands, feet and smile also go a long way. It is usually quite full, so would recommend making a reservation unless you are very early.
I think we booked on the last table on Wednesday inside at 7.15 am on Friday night. Customer service and the food was very nice. Turkey fillet and the chips were very good. The Hake Dos de colin was also very good, although I would rather have vegetables instead of rice and potatoes. I should say the boiled potatoes were fantastic! Many choices of pudding to ours were good, although my fruit salad was mostly pineapple. Very good atmosphere on Friday night and at this season it was mostly local I always think a good sign.
Under the umbrellas, in the shade, keeping cool from the wind along the street whilst eating an ice cream isn't a bed way to cope in 30 degrees heat.
We went to La Taverne approximately 3 weeks ago and have to say the food was excellent. If you're ever in Lion-Sur-Mer for whatever reason then treat yourself to a lovely evening by giving it a try.
4 of us had the menu du jour. We left feeling full and happy. Crab for the starter, Veal for the main, and various assortment for the dessert. The place was full of locals eating their lunch. Food was served at a decent pace and...service was good. For the amount paid, a lovely traditional meal
