Tonka Hills - Linn Creek

Came today to have a birthday lunch for my mom, along with my grandma. Food was delicious! Unfortunately, the service was unacceptable for being in the midst of the pandemic. We ended up deciding to get our food to go, because of the complete lack of awareness by their staff about the current pandemic protocol or even the semblance of an effort to address our concerns about their close proximity seating and completely unmasked staff. When we came in, we asked if we could be seated in the far corner, to try to space decently from the few other tables. The host refused that request, because apparently the other half was closed? So we were sat in close proximity to two other parties (with an entire half of a dining room left completely unused). At this point, we are already not feeling great about our decision to come here we already felt sheepish about going to ANY restaurant, but we figured Tonka Hills would have a responsible staff. Then, my grandmother asked our server if she had a mask she could put on while interacting with us. She said no, and appeared to be absolutely confounded by the question. We are each completely at a loss at this point as to the staff’s total lack of awareness about the still very active pandemic. My grandmother has been a long time diner here, and I’m not sure she will return after having been blatantly disrespected by the host and our server. Their demeanor remained “nice,” but you could tell their attitude was complete dismissal, and we could even see them making fun of us for our very reasonable requests considering the state of things. They are living on a different planet than most people in the world, which is unfortunate. Because their food is delicious. Sad to not be able to continue to support them until they get some massively better leadership.

This was one of our favorite restaurants. Unfortunately, they are not taking any measures to accommodate guests with concerns about the Covid19 virus. None of the employees were wearing masks. They had closed half of the dining room, so guests were seated less than six feet apart. The staff made fun of our request to have our server wear a mask. We won’t be back.

Great service and good food. My mom lives across the road and goes here often. so glad she has a place to go for conversation and good food

Great home cooked food, served by really nice folks! Great portions and very reasonable prices. Definitely worth stopping for!

This is one of our favorites. Chef Rodney is fantastic. **** Mary bar is a huge plus as well.
