Auberge de La Gabriere Restaurant

Really nice meal and very good starters and desserts especially. the panna cotta was beautiful and the cheese plate was stunning and the portions generous. we were well looked around and could not complain about the service. at the end, however, we realized that we were not charged for the course or drinks, so that we were properly charged. so was done, but it took a lot of time and we were not thanked for our honesty. strange, but did not spoil our joy at a beautiful meal.

Really good eating in a small house in front of a lake with a beautiful view. Unfortunately like many other guests I must stress that the service is not best what is annoying if they want a...relaxing dinner. they should just give the waitress a quick service hour, then this restaurant would be perfect.

I had a meal here, while we stayed on the way south overnight. I knew it was good, like the others were all French! the food service was a good value to get off the beaten track for.

We stopped at the restaurant as we drove thought the Brenne National Park and we were pleased we did. The restaurant terrace looks over one of the many local lakes. The food was excellent, mostly local regional dishes and service was also very good,...even though there were many other diners. Well worth a visit!

We had not visited for a couple of years due to a poor meal BUT went for lunch, good food, good value and the general condition of the place had definitely improved since our last visit. Will now return for an evening meal.
