Khob Khun - LINDFIELD

Really great local Thai restaurant, deserves better cred then some of the other Thai restaurants in the area. The combination pad kea Mao was very generous in serving, and definitely not lacking in proteins. The spicy is more sweet spicy then the normal straight heat spicy you expect, still tasted good. The marinated crispy chicken wings were very moorish. Will definitely return.

This is my go-to Thai restaurant for when I don't feel like venturing far from home. It's always quick and friendly, with a range of delicious offerings on the menu. <br/ <br/ I particularly recommend the pad see ew or the Thai fried rice!

Travelling to see family in Sydney last month, I arrived quite late in the day (and quite unexpectedly, too) so rather than force ourselves to go shop, cook and clean up afterwards, we decided to visit Khob Khun for a Thai dinner. To be truthful, I wasn't expecting much. Thai in the middle of Lindfield? Really? How authentic could it possibly be? Well, I was forced to eat my words. We ordered three dishes the red duck curry, the papaya salad and stir fried fish, snow peas and mixed vegetables.

I visited Khob Khun for dinner on a Monday night and was really happy with the food, service and experience. I didn't have my camera on me, so won't be doing a proper review for my blog (this time!! , but here are my quick notes from the dinner:<br/ <br/ The wait staff were friendly and welcoming<br/ Relaxed, warm atmosphere<br/ The menu was diverse, included lots of variations and was fairly customisable<br/ They were able to cater (happily to my celiac friend and made her Pad See Ew according to her dietary requirements<br/ The serving sizes were super generous!!<br/ The side of rice was enough for two<br/ The food was really tasty. Both meals had lovely textures, flavours and the protein (both chicken was cooked perfectly. <br/ Prices were very reasonable<br/ <br/ I would return here!

I try not to be a pain when I order food as I understand that not every place is able to or wants to cater to my dietary choices. I always ask before ordering, checking if there are any vegan options.After being advised what options I had, I took the recommendation of tofu green curry.When I got home I realised I had received chicken, while irritating, I get that mistakes happen.I had to go all the way back to the store and while they did replace the meal, When I tried to speak to the staff member about the mistake, she literally turned her back on me as I was talking to her and started talking to another member of staff.Absolutely abhorrent customer service and I shudder to think about how they would handle allergies
