La Mexicana Bakery - Lincoln Park

Everything is very good.....and the cakes are very pretty. My son's next birthday. The cake is going to be from the Mexicana bakery.

Great easy stop for fresh pastry. Local and affordable.Fresh coffee would be nice but they are not there yet. Open 7 days.They have a selection of Mexican groceries.

The pros: nice staff, you can buy other Mexican items like chips and salsas to make things at home, soft bread.The cons: not actually goodI really really wanted to like this place but the bread was just not good. Not totally their fault. I’ve tried multiple Mexican bakeries in Chicago and Mexico so this just doesn’t measure up. We shall see if I find a good Mexican bakery in Detroit.

Absolutely delicious, baked goods are fresh and flavorful. The rolls are also a hit. Will be back soon to try their tamales!

Smaller selection, however everything was better quality and not stale, and the prices were great too, would definitely come back
