Mazatlan Ii - Lincoln

On a technical note, we visited on a Saturday for a late lunch and were welcomed by a clean, spacious, and well-lit environment. The staff was prompt and courteous, quickly seating us and addressing our initial needs. The menu was vibrant and well-organized, featuring translations and explanations of the different dishes, which made it easy to navigate. It also included colorful photos of key dishes, which definitely helped in choosing our meals. The children’s menu offered a variety of kid-friendly options, featuring both Mexican and American cuisine. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience. I certainly plan to stop by again the next time I'm on the north side of town. The whole family left happy, and I couldn't be more pleased!

Mazatlan is truly exceptional and doesn't belong in a city like Lincoln. Nebraska isn't worthy of a Mexican restaurant of this caliber. Unfortunately, I found myself in Lincoln for two days and dined here both evenings. The margaritas are fantastic, giving you a chance to drink enough to forget you're in Nebraska. I would definitely return—10/10—if I ever find myself in Lincoln again.

Another must-try is the Buey al Cilantro, which is undoubtedly their spiciest offering. This dish consists of grilled, charred steak smothered in a fiery habanero sauce—it's incredibly spicy, but oh so delicious! It’s served with rice, beans, and tortillas. I once polished off the entire plate, along with all my tortillas, jalapeños, chips, salsa, a beer, and a margarita, leaving my waiter and the staff in awe. Don’t forget to order the side of fried jalapeños; you get three of them and they’re a perfect addition! Skip the combination platters and treat yourself to something more exciting!

I've been coming here for years and I have zero complaints. Staff has always gone above and beyond, food is always delicious and timely, they have many vegetarian options which is amazing and they are all so good. Truly out of all the restaurants in Lincoln, this is the only one I've been to consistently with a perfect track record. We love you, Mazatlan.

Went on Cinco de Mayo, the restaurant was very busy but service was great and the food was even better. Definitely recommend.
