Contribuiți la feedbackI just love this restaurant and come here at least once each time I visit the area. The 10 euro daily menu is superb value and gives me the opportunity to eat dishes that I probably wouldn't have otherwise chosen. There is also a large selection of dishes on the à la carte menu. On my recent visit I had a huge plate of crisp salad and pate, then chicken fricassé and a delicious chocolate dessert in a pot. The bottle of house wine we had was very good. I love the way the food is presented and the reception I always receive is exceptional, genuinely friendly and welcoming. There is a lot of parking space and it is also very close to public transport stops (bus and cheap single track train from Carcassonne.) Do note that it is only open at lunchtime so don't be disappointed by going in the evening!
The restaurant is attached to a unit producing good quality Cassoulet, Fricassé, foire gras etc.It appers that most of the menu is made up of the things that are made on site and reheated. That is not a criticism; the food is of a good quality! Plus, you can buy your own in the adjacent shop!We opted for the lunchtime 10€ menu du jour, it was a good choice. Terinne salad starter; coq au vin main and apple pie for pud!Everything was tasty and incredible value for money. Next time we'll try the 13.50€ menu de terroirWe had a glass each of the house red wine at 2€; nice wine too.The staff are really pleasant and the setting comfortable. A good find!
I visited this restaurant after seeing it from the train window. It is perfectly placed for the 1 euro bus
The 10 euro menu was popular, but we chose to eat from the carte - duck with orange and guinea fowl with raviolis. Excellent flavour and the raviolis were perfectly cooked. Attentive service and although limited in choice the wines were reasonably priced and of good quality.
