Presidio - Lima

I had been meaning to go since it opened, but finally got the chance to stop by today. We had two cranky toddlers so it was a quick experience, but they were happy to allow us to use a room in the back that is there for 8-12 people, open to reservations for families or groups. The room is air conditioned and has a big hi-def television so my girls watched Peppa Pig while we scarfed the burgers. We got two burgers, Swiss, and Moroccan, and a "Pizzeta," like a personal pizza with hamburger, eggplant and zucchini. Everything was surprisingly excellent. The burgers were cooked exactly as requested (not over or underdone, which seems par for the course at lima burger joints) and super yummy. Mine had excellent flavors, I think there was a fruit on it along with bacon, and it was a good size, with a great bun. The french fries were more like fried potatoes but executed great, and the pizza was much more artisanal than I would have expected. Also the food came out quickly (as requested due to said cranky toddlers). Overall, this was a surprisingly good place in an area with a dearth of good restaurants and even less when looking for burgers, which is why it gets the 5 stars! Very excited to go back. PS. I love its modern decor. A great new addition to the La Molina neighborhood!
