Canard Street Bethune - Lille

The hotel is very classy (industrial but rustic style with a simple and effective map and formula. Everything turns around the duck (yes, yes, it's true! and recipes are simple but badly effective with burgers or needles for example (what we took). The sauces are good without being transcendent, they do the work to accompany the fries to the duck fat so good. Ecological level, dishes are served in reusable dishes, only the sauces are made of plastic. Cleanness is put and staff is very good. When I go to Lille, I always like to make a detour here. It's generous, it's greedy, it's Street food like I like. I strongly advise.

Let's go out with friends, we're six years old and we decide to eat duck street. First good point the card is very reduced. Products are on open sale that indicates that it is not an industrial kitchen. The welcome is good and the server is pleasant. But... I ordered a Thai tartare, being in Asian cuisine, I expected a more intense meal, unfortunately despite vinegar and pepper (I didn't feel any of them) tartare is a good but not extraordinary (I think a piece of wasabi mixed with tartare can really make Thai this dish without masking the taste of magret. Only good point the sesame to wasabi, which works very well. On the fries, they are served without salt (or at least I didn't feel it) and it's very good. Cooking in duck fat was perfect outside but melt inside. As for the presentation it can surprise but let's not forget that we are in a street kitchen and not a traditional restaurant. In short, a very good sign that is worth the detour that I am happy to have known, even if they can still improve.

Don't be delivered. The meat was barely cooked so cold that the rest of the Burger was small. Paying for an almost unworthy meal is shameful and dishonest.

Kitchen too salty and very fat, fries not drained, it dips in oil. Not a cuisto wears charlotte or hat for hygiene. In terms of service, no better than any fast food. Disappointed.
