Brasserie de la Paix - Lille

This used to be a very good place but quality has went down dramatically over the past few years.

My colleages didn't like it, but my dish was fineI had some fillet with vegetables in a pastry which was well presented and not too dry.

I recently visited this restaurant while in LilleI enjoyed the food very, very much - except for the main courseThe bread was fantastic.

It's okay, but not more than that. we paid close to 90 euros for an aperitif, an entrance and a dish. content was tasty, but nothing enthralling. These are mainly portions. Besides, I chose almond trout as a main dish and had salmon (truite). So I'd have chosen the salmon. Not a fantastic experience. I think by choosing a menu rather than a map, you will experience better experiences and lose less money.

Everything was perfect! service to the old,discret, very pro with good timing, good advice, finely executed dishes, good choice of wines, ice bucket without having to ask, towel and cotton tablecloth, rare nowadays, because even in a starry today it is the tail to the bar to pay! a lot of small details that may seem anodins of today but that make the quality of an excellent service.
