Contribuiți la feedbackI frequently visit Dev restaurant and usually dine in there. Today, I ordered butter chicken with garlic naan, and it was incredibly flavorful, warm, and fresh. I enjoyed the combination so much that it has become my go-to lunch option.
My wife and I heard a lot about this little out of the way place which appears to be quite a restaurant. Menu is on the cheap and affordable side. So no qualms here of over spending. Either you like curry or hot spices, and here you will find it to your liking and tastes. We both took curry plates, mine was with lamb; and hers was chicken. Both plates are with white rice, chickpeas and traditional breads. At $12.00 a plate. Excellent dish and all menu items are delicious and filling. You can come as a group or couple or alone. Also you can phone ahead, and pick up your order. Excellent service regardless of your choice. We also had $6.00 glass of wine a few to pick from) and a choice of beers including two Indian Pale beers. Overall a great night out and all done within an hour. We will be back soon. Clean place, and there is parking in front and back of the restaurant. There is a website, and they close at 10pm.
We found the portion sizes on the small size, except for the fish pakora, which was extremely generous. The chili chicken was tasty but not hot enough felt it had been rewarmed but didn't quite hit the mark. The bindi was nice, chewy though, I would have cooked it a little longer. We also had the shrimp tandoori which was very nice and the naan. Nice beer.
Best Indian restaurant in the city. All dishes made fresh and super tasty. I go there often (we also do a lot of takeout from Dev) good size plates. Amazing food and great place for Indian ! Definitely my favourite !!!
Upon entering this restaurant, the first thing that catches your attention is how bright, clean, and spacious the dining room is. During a recent lunch visit with two companions, two of us ordered the thali while the other opted for the chicken biryani. The food on the thali was tasty but the portion size was disappointing. For $10, receiving only three small pieces of lamb in a curry sauce felt like a letdown. The thali also included rice, unappetizing lentils, Nan bread, and a small salad. Despite the limited staff, the service was acceptable with only one young man tending to the entire restaurant. Leaving the meal still feeling hungry was disappointing. The raita was decent, albeit a bit watery, and the chai was enjoyable. At $18 for lunch, it didn't feel like a particularly good deal.
