Filo - LEZZENO

The location is absolutely stunning! We would recommend starting a bit early for Italian standards (19.30) so you can enjoy the amazing view. Food is of really high standard, all flavours matched and complemented each other perfectly. Also the staff is very welcoming and accommodating. All negative reviews are not true in my opinion. Service was quite fast, but we asked if we could get some more time between courses and they happily obliged. We had a truly wonderful experience!

We had a challenging experience visiting Filo on our trip. The service and ambiance are excellent, very top notch. Unfortunately the small menu and value are where the criticism lie. I am lactose intolerant, and there was one item on the menu that did not feature dairy very prominently. Ultimately I ordered the lamb, which was smothered in a cheese sauce I had to scrape off. The restaurant was not able to accommodate removing a diary free option from any dishes. I understand others will not have this problem, but having eaten all over the world, this was disappointing to be stuck with a meal I could not sufficiently enjoy. Each portion is €26-28, so even while limited to a small meal because of dietary restrictions, the total bill for 2 people was over €120. This was the most expense restaurant in the Lezzeno area.

We made same day reservations and were promptly seated upon arrival. You have to go through the hotel and take the elevator to the restaurant level. Service was friendly and they accommodated my vegan requests. The food was delicious. The restaurant was full yet plenty of distancing. From our table we could see the sparkling lights from the other side of Lake Como. I can’t wait to return.

I read about this restaurant in a magazine and I wanted to try for a special occasion. Finally we found the time and occasion! It has been a great experience, the amazing view, the menu with some classic dishes reviewed with great style, the incredible taste. I fall in love with their signature of the classic Negroni and the Spaghetti, aglio , olio e peperoncino with Canocchia di mare .... for sure we will visit them again soon.

After reading the reviews on many platforms we said to give it a try at Ristorante Filo. Rest assured, that there was no occasion were we did not feel perfectly catered for. The service was perfect from the moment we steped into the restaurant. The appetizers from the kitchen were only the first taste of what was still to come. The sommelier made an great suggestion both in red and white wine for our choosen dishes. The food was very lightly salted, which made it possible for all the tastes to flourish. All in all this was a perfect dining experinece at lake como with great views on the lake or as we would call it: the champions league of lake como dining . Thanks to the staff of Restaurante Filo who made this happen 10/10 would recommend!
