Red State BBQ - Lexington

The best local BBQ sites have a faithful local follow. it is also easy to see why people travel for miles and miles to test what red state bbq offers. my eyes quickly discovered the double smoked braut on the menu, and I couldn't resist. the baked beans supplement, which were fantastic and the mac and would be my lunch ended. one of the most extensive menus I saw at a BBQ place.

Decided to call a pickup order on the way back to lexington from louisville. ordered a complete rack of ripening and smoked buffalo wings with mac n cheese/bottom for rhe sides. everything was excellent. very friendly staff, told them that I was 45 minutes away and sure everything came hot. I've eaten a couple of summer days. I'm sure I'm back!

The pulled huh was amazing, perfectly seasoned and juicy. also the pulled boar was good, not dried. the brisket (friend has made it) was the best brisket I ever had at a BBQ joint. the staff was very friendly! we're coming back!

Faster service, really nice people working here, and eating was so great! the double smoked brisket was the hands down what we had! I also bought a few bottles of her sauce on the way out.

OK...I've had BBQ in Maryland, Virginia, Kansas City, Louisiana, and many other places. Definitely off the beaten path. This truly was the most unique and flavourful BBQ that I have had in years. All portions were well sized, but not overloaded. The chili cheese fries were fully loaded with sauces, beans, toppings, and things that just made them amazing! The Brisket sandwich and side of mac n cheese also were delicious and well portioned. We even indulged in the pretzels, which we found extremely soft inside and perfectly cooked. The actual atmosphere is classic Americana and perfect. From yelling out when orders are ready to the unique customer graffiti everywhere...this place was authentic. I highly recommend this BBQ!
