Nick's Place - Lexington

I was in the Navy for over 20 years, but not where in the USA or the world they make a Greater Boston Sub Sandwich. I live now near Springfield Mass and can't even get one there. Whenever I visit family in Waltham, I always think Nick's is a sub. Service? Really? It is a walk on the lunch counter, was always sufficiently friendly and efficient in my book. Some of the faces change, but these subs have been solid for many years. Goodonya Nick!

Today's special was chicken bob salad. It would have been too much for me to eat for lunch. The woman behind toe counter suggested I have the chicken on the side. I had something for lunch and brought the rest home. Really delicious. So grateful for the proposal.

I needed something for a pot luck brunch and I’ve always loved the calzones from Nick’s place. I called hoping they’d be able to make something breakfast-y as I wanted something warm as opposed to the standard baked goods (muffins, croissants, etc) and they did not disappoint. I ordered a breakfast pizza (egg, peppers, onions, bacon, sausage, jalapeños and cheese); a veggie and egg calzone; a spinach, mushroom, egg and cheese calzone; and a ham, egg and cheese calzone. Everything was delicious and they were so accommodating. Great great idea if you need to feed breakfast or brunch to a crew of any size. They delivered to the tennis hut on the Arlington/Winchester line without a hitch and everything was still piping hot. Thank you!

I love their meal deals especially the deal with the pizza and buffalo wing combo. I am also a fan of their fries which are coated and tastes yummy. The jalapeno peppers are filled with the creamest cream cheese and tastes devine. I usually order through grubhub and just pickup from the store.

Amazing food and great service. Came in at 9:30 and they had no problem serving me at all they went above and beyond with the costumer service even offering me the extra slices of pizza that they didn’t sell
