La Cabana - Lexington

This hole-in-the-wall was exactly what I was looking for. Seems to be run by a Mexican family. The place is small, a little run-down, but clean. Service was great, people were friendly, and the food was delicious. Authentic Mexican food. Yum!

Finally was able to stop by this restaurant. I LOVED their salsa. Super chunky and full of flavor. The chicken fajita nachos were a little different than what would normally be severed at a Mexican restaurant but I ate every bite! Everyone at my table seemed to enjoy their dinner as well, burrito, taco, and chicken plate with veggies. We will go back for sure!

If you want to experience true Mexican food, come here. It's very good and authentic.

Wow.. what a great little hole in the wall restaurant. Serving quality Mexican sea food. Not your typical average round steak tacos or 5 day microwave old pork. This place is serving fresh quality meat. Quality staff(big shout out to Mandy! Good job) And so happy we googled ya and come by. You stop here to eat as a customer and leave as a friend. I also ordered a cup of coffee, which turned out to be excellent and was served with a little half-and-half on the side. My meal was so delightful that I decided to indulge in dessert, something I rarely do when it comes to Mexican cuisine. I chose sopapillas, and they were fantastic! Rather than being puffy, they were drizzled with honey and cinnamon, making them the perfect accompaniment to my second cup of coffee. The entire meal, including the coffee and dessert, cost around $11.50, which I thought was a great value for the quality. The staff was friendly, though I felt they could benefit from a few more customers to help them get into the rhythm of serving multiple diners. I truly hope this restaurant thrives, as it would be great to have it in our neighborhood. There’s ample parking available, and when the weather is nice, they offer outdoor seating on the porch. Castlewood Park is nearby, with a fantastic ramp for anyone with mobility issues. I encourage you to visit and give this place a try. I love that it’s independently owned, and the staff is genuinely kind!
