Heliotrope Brewery - Lexington

This is a trendy microbrew in VA. I like the minimalist design of the logo. They had the welcoming vibe. The brewery was clean and smell good. We had the wheat beer and the dessert island beer. Both were excellent. For being a brewery, the food was exceptional. The pizza came out quite quickly. Margherita pizza dough had a glutinous texture to it which raised above expectations. The watermelon salad was well prepared with balsamic vinaigrette, cucumber, shredded mint, pistachio and feta cheese on top. After a hot day the salad was so refreshing. Parking was street parking. Overall, this place had exceeded beyond the small town brewery.

The BEST pizza I've ever had. Poolish, long fermented Margherita pizza with an incredible rise on the crust. Technically a brewery, but in all honesty this is a pizzeria that also makes beer. The beer is good, the pizza is GREAT.

Wasn't sure what to expect being such a small town, but the beer here is excellent. The space is also very modern and welcoming hang out, including the outside area where you could watch activity around time! While we didn't eat there, everything we saw and smelled looked amazing. We ended up going twice during our long weekend and got a crowler to bring home.

This place has the best hummus I’ve had since Israel and phenomenally fresh and soft dough in the pita and their pizza. So fresh. So light . and the variety of seltzers and ciders was great to have alongside the beer. Great vibe, love the order at the counter and no table service part of it. Very welcoming and chill vibe

I had the hummus and a flight of beer. Everything tasted great, the service was fast, and I loved the atmosphere.
