The Pub At Baxter - Lewiston

Immigrated and Hostess sat us. The staff seemed to work with moving tables. After 10 minutes no one tried to serve us, we went out. If you want a bad service, this is the place.

Unique mill atmosphere with a decent pub menu. A good selection of brews and cocktails. No problems with the service.

The first time in Maine with a group and this place was the most unfriendly pub I've ever been. To begin with my wife, earlier on the day had spoken to the manager to tell them that a group of about 20 would visit. We were told that would not be a problem, but the kitchen would be closed, but they stayed open until 11:00, which is what is released online. Needless to say, a friend of mine was already there before the arrival of the groups and informed us that their server was not pleasant. You and I were informed at 8:45 that it was the last call for drinks. 8:45! I asked the server how late the pub closes because published characters indicated 11pm. He informed me and my guests that as soon as the kitchen had closed, they had to close the pub legally and they were closed now 9:00. I told him I had some more guests with him in whom he looked very irritated. Other cartridges entered the facility and some were turned away while others were allowed to sit at the bar. The only bright light in this place, except the ambience, was Melissa. She continued to serve our party and was friendly and accommodating. However, their employees seemed very irritated. I got the bill and collected the money to just figure out the server I don't remember his name, but he had a shaved head and wore a mask with his beard poking out had the bill and money from the table without consulting someone and informed me was short on payment .4¢ . Needless to say to leave his about jealousy and led us on our way to his non-tip. This institution has workers who do not want to work. One Saturday evening and all, but Melissa is in a hurry to close the place so they can enjoy their weekend. If the owner reads this review: Your workers are not in business that your company deserve a profit and should understand for the likes of Melissa, which is running a business.

Great beer! I have a flight. The food was good. My husband and I stumbled unexpectedly over the night of Trivia and that was a nice surprise. The interior is really cool and this place is huge! I love the gate and the lanterns that also lead to the door. This will definitely be a place we often do.

We have gone to Baxter's numerous times cuz food and ambience have been great. We had reservations for Easter eve at 7 pm. Half of what we ordered was sold out but we did have an enjoyable meal anyway. Service was slow but we finished by 815. We waited till 845 to get the waitress to order dessert but she said kitchen was closed at 830 so we couldn't get dessert. Published hours said open till 11 Desserts are refrigerated so take no prep time so I feel we should have been able to get this or informed ahead of time. This was an expensive evening for such service. We paid and left. It was pouring rain so we got car and returned at gate to wait for one of our party who had bad feet only to get yelled at rudely by security guard. Needles to say this was not a relaxing evening for a very expensive meal. We will not be returning
