I would recommend everyone in the opposite. the new owner is very friendly, along with his personal and make them very welcome. the ambiente is very cooled and eating is amazing, the new menu has something for everyone. I would definitely go back!
If you have the opportunity to dine on a red London bus, there is only one answer: hell yeah! And that's exactly what we did on Sunday at a new pop-up restaurant located on Deptford Church Street. The restaurant, housed in a big red bus, will be open for the next three months, hopefully longer. We were welcomed by Brand, one of the owners who is part of Meat Mob, their latest venture. Brand exuded enthusiasm for the food, venue, and overall experience. He even shared some secrets about how they make their carrots taste so good, so watch out - I might just become the queen of carrots! As expected, dining on a red bus was a unique and enjoyable experience.
We decided to sit on the lovely covered terrace at the restaurant, where there was a children's party happening on a bus nearby. The atmosphere was relaxed and reminded me of the casual beach restaurants back in Amsterdam, with dogs and kids running around. The service was informal but attentive. I ordered the gnocchi with lamb ragu, while my companion had the ham and mushroom pizza. We also shared a green salad. The salad was beautifully presented, with a variety of leaves, plenty of arugula, and thinly sliced spring onions. The vinaigrette was delicious, with a hint of sweetness, possibly from white balsamic vinegar and garlic.
The pizza was massive and we ordered two! Once they have brought out the second, we asked that she be kept in check, as this was more than enough for both of us. the basic was beautiful and crispy and there were many toppings, including creamy gorgonzola, yummo!
Not only is stopping at the sight of a large red bus buzzing with activity a great find in Deptford, but finding out that it serves up delicious pizza, cocktails, and more is a pleasant surprise. Despite driving past this place many times, I finally decided to check it out when I was hungry and tired of staring at my fridge. Although we couldn't sit in the bus due to a children's party, I actually enjoyed being able to capture better photos. The service was friendly and laid-back, the prices were reasonable, and the food was simply delicious. While my Caesar salad may not have been the healthiest option, it was absolutely fantastic.
