Station Hither Green - Lewisham

As ever, good food in a lovely venue easy to get to which really helps for my friends. Beer was good too which is always a bonus.

The Station Hotel is conveniently located a few minutes from my family's home, so it has become our go-to pub. We decided to ring in the New Year 2024 by booking a table in advance and enjoying a delicious 3-course meal accompanied by a glass of Prosecco. The experience was fantastic, with everyone having a great time and showing off some impressive dance moves on the dance floor during the disco.

Service was really good. Staff very attentive. Chicken, ham and leek Pie was delicious. Recommend it especially early evening as nice and quiet.

Had a superb afternoon at the Station with work colleagues, the staff were incredibly attentive and the food was excellent. There was a great Christmas atmosphere and our server was very friendly and efficient, I would highly recommend a meal here the food was excellent. The whole feel of the pub is warm and welcoming, there is plenty of space for families and buggies and the overall vibe was wonderful. Many thanks for looking after us.

I went to this restaurant with a friend for lunch this week. When we entered the dining area, we were greeted by a cold, unfriendly, and rude waiter. We sat down at our table and waited a long time for service before finally requesting some pre-lunch drinks. We noticed that our drinks were left unsupervised on the bar counter for an unacceptable amount of time, and other individuals were talking over them. When the waiter finally brought our drinks, we asked for fresh ones due to our concerns. The waiter became angry and threatened to throw us out of the restaurant, which shocked us as we are both women in our 60s. We expressed our fears about unsupervised drinks because of a previous experience with spiked drinks, but the waiter dismissed us. Feeling intimidated, we asked for help from another restaurant team member and eventually the manager. The manager apologized and promptly removed the waiter from the front of house. It was alarming to learn that the waiter had only been with the organization for a week and had previously received complaints for his behavior. This is a cause for concern, as his actions and attitude are harmful to customers and he may not be fit to work in that environment.
