Prices have risen beyond acceptable level for this type of diner. Regrettably won't be going back. There are many cheaper equally good options elsewhere. Many regulars will be looking elsewhere. Noticed that a Guardian review last year preceded this unreasonable price rise.

They have just opened a restaurant next door to the more canteen like original that is licensed and does amazing cocktails. The food was simply outstanding. We shall be regulars! If it’s good enough for Jay Raynor and all that….

Great local curry house if you like it hot. If not seek advice from the staff otherwise your mouth will be on fire! Now I know that southern Indian cooking uses far more chillies than the north.

Amazing great value food. Staff are amazing! Just love it every time i come here! It never disappoints! Deserves all the credit!

Just moved in round the corner and got some food to takeaway on our third night. The food was all delicious, and it’s obvious why this place has such an exceptional reputation for delicious authentic (unfathomably cheap) food. Will look forward to many return visits, and particularly craving the chicken biryani and onion bhaji again.
