Blue Mountain Cafe - Lewisham

I have visited this restaurant multiple times in the past. The cafe itself is charming, the coffee is good, and the location is pleasant. The young waitress is friendly and attentive, which adds to the overall positive experience. However, I must be honest and mention the quality of the food. The portions are generally small, and the salt beef sandwich I ordered for 6 pounds was disappointing. It consisted of a thin slice of store-bought pastrami and very few actual meat. When I raised my concerns with the staff, there was no response or attempt to rectify the situation. The manager was notified, but no action was taken. This dish should not be on the menu as it is a disgrace.

I would not return to this restaurant after experiencing poor service from a waitress who ignored us when we arrived and failed to provide us with a menu. Despite seeing that our food was ready, she served other customers before us, leading me to wonder if our race played a factor in her behavior. This was disappointing, especially considering the change in atmosphere since the restaurant was previously owned by a black owner. It is disheartening to see such behavior in a multicultural society. However, I must admit that the Vegan bowl was enjoyable.

Called in for tea and cake this week. Good range of cakes and lots of other snacks and main dishes. Friendly staff with different areas of seating: inside outside.

This coffee sorts you right out. The food is always really good. The staff are very friendly and the seating areas are good, with the option of inside, outside then out the back. The cakes here are always super too! Never stale, always fresh! It isn't cheap here, but it is always very good quality and you get what you pay for here.

The staff at this restaurant are lovely and everything about it is wonderful. The café has a really friendly atmosphere and I had a great, casual time here. I would definitely recommend it.
