This restaurant is a charming, traditional spot for dinner and dancing. This was my second visit, and once again, the food was delicious. The menu offers Greek Cypriot dishes like grilled meats, moussaka, houmous, and taramasalata, all expertly prepared. While the restaurant is advertised as a steakhouse, there are plenty of options for vegetarians and pescetarians. The wine selection is impressive and the after-dinner drinks, such as French coffee with brandy and Russian coffee with vodka, are a nice touch. The prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent - friendly and attentive. We had to wait for a friend who arrived late, but the cozy bar area near the entrance made it a comfortable wait. The music was fantastic, featuring hits from Earth Wind and Fire, Commodores, Supremes, Candi Staton, and other classic soul artists that got people up on the small dance floor. Overall, it was a lovely night out.
The staff and singers were pleasant, but unfortunately, the manager was rude, impatient, and obnoxious, as many guests commented. Additionally, the manager insisted on charging for an extra person, mistakenly including my 3-year-old niece even though I had been assured she would not be charged when booking. To top it off, when my daughter offered to pay £20 for her fiancé to sing "Piano Man" as a special touch to end the night, the manager refused, which was disappointing. The restaurant was very quiet on a Saturday night, with only two other tables occupied besides ours. Overall, the experience left much to be desired.
We went to this restaurant with some friends. They had called ahead to make sure it was wheelchair friendly. They were told it was but it wasn’t. The tables are packed so closely and the door that could have been used as a wheelchair entrance was blocked. The food was not good at all. The puff pastry tartlet was actually two triangles of puff pastry with sauce poured on top. The vegetable lasagne tasted like a bad ready meal. Every plate of food comes with chips, grilled tomato, mushrooms and peas regardless of what you order. Despite stating that the restaurant is air conditioned, it was absolutely boiling hot in there. We didn’t stay for dessert as we just wanted to leave. Not recommended.
Booked the restaurant for my Wife Birthday with a group of friends we all had a fantastic night. The food was excellent, the drinks flowed, the entertainment was terrific and the service throughout the night was spot on, warm, friendly, and great atmosphere we will be booking a tribute night again very soon. Defo recommend to family and friends.
