In any case, it was delicious. Besides the vegetable chapati, we also had the Burmese pork curry which came with a tomato side salad and spicy chillies mixed with something that seemed like fried onion sand garlic (yummy! . They told me to mix it all. Oh... Delicious. Highly recommended.
I mean food is okay but indian curry that has nothing to do with real indian curry is a bit weird isn’t it? Prices are not cheap for Myanmar either, maybe new bagan is an expensive place but we have eaten much better for much less in Myanmar.
Very friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. Indian food is decent but not fantastic. Curry is a little blander than I would have liked but chapati was light and fluffy.
We came here, led by googl maps ' reviews. No ideas who wrote them all. Maybe people who care about a price only? Yes, it 's cheap! But if you care about a taste and quality of your food, or if you try to eat healthily just don 't come here. Under the name Fried noodles with prawns I got oily noodles with vegetables with 3 prawns tails. And few crubs of prawns, probably. And green tomatoes cowered with mayonnaise as a tomato salad .
I would give the food a 3 and the service a 5. If you compare the curries to Indian food (in India), you 'll find them inauthentic. My vegetable curry was mixed vegetables in a thin, oily broth and flavored with English/British style curry powder- the precise mix known throughout the world, though not in India. It was served with two pan-fried 'chapatis ' and a small portion of rice. More than enough for one person. That all said, Burmese versions of Indian food generally lack spice and depth of flavor (samosa, dosa, etc). Royal 2 is still very worth visiting for the kind hosts and outdoor casual seating! As others have noted, they serve peanuts before the meal and tamarind flake candies after.
