The place is a little run down and could use some TLC, but it doesn't take away from the taste of the food. I had eyes bigger than my stomach on this visit and ordered the 12 burrito especial. This thing was flipping huge (see photo) and I had my work cut out for me. It was packed with rice refried beans, peppers, chicken, and salsa and then covered with cheese and burrito sauce. 30 minutes later I was staring at the last few forkfuls I had hit a wall and there was no hope left. I had to tap out for fear of bursting out. Ironically, 30 minutes later I bursted out anyways and the burrito was a memory flushed away. Adios El Comal and muchas gracias!
Best Mexican food in Lethbridge by far! The food tastes homemade and always comes out very hot and with all the toppings you can imagine. I have read some reviews on here about the service being poor, I personally have never experienced that. It is a family run business and sometimes the servers will be off doing other things but the second you call someone over they were very attentive and kind. The prices here are very reasonable, especially for the portion sizes because they are HUGE (especially the burritos)! They also have lots of vegetarian options which is great. Personal favorite of mine is the Vegetarian Burrito, it's enough to share or save for 2 meals!
I eat a lot of Mexican food. This is not the best, but it is the best in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. Nice Mexican decor. Good service. Margaritas .
Inside the El Comal restaurant looks like a little run down even though it does have that Mexican look. The food is pretty good, but the bull dog lime is very good. If you haven 't been and you like Mexican food like I do, give them a try.
Pretty marginal Mexican place. When it first opened it was pretty solid. The story is the chef got deported and this place has gone downhill since. If you're craving Mexican I would suggest Tacos Del Mar or Cafe Verde for fast-food, both on the other side of Mayor McGrath.
