The waitress must be the daughter of the boss, as she had no shoes throughout the service and she brought us bread and water with a cigarette!! I've never seen this be a behavior in my whole life. Service is incredibly slow and badly organized, there was only one of the waiters who really seemed to work. So you have 2 menus. One at 30€ (the main desert of the starter) and then the "sight" at 22€ (the main desert). Even if the food was great, prices are too high. And, plus, you had clumbsy, still sleeping teenagers served you food without shoes and smoking at the same time? Go to the hippie for me. Fish was overcooked. Potatoes were good, and the lamb was also good. I think they need to change the staff and lower menu prices.
This is a stop for truck drivers who guarantee a good fare without bells and pipes, and indeed we were not disappointed. The menu is set more or less, although minor changes are made if this is possible for the cook/kitchen. So come for the food and for the company!
A group of eight, including children aged 3 and 5, we called from Le Siecle on a very hot Sunday, hoping to protect from the midday sun, and may have a bite to eat. Le Siecle is the only restaurant in Les Ollieres, apart from the...camping sites, and a Sunday it was very busy. Despite the almost full dining room, we sat immediately sitting, drinks took a little, but considering there was only one waitress to serve diners and 2 sunny terraces that we don't mind. Ice cold water was served without request, a welcome relief on such a scorching day! The menu was wonderfully simple, in the best possible way. My Dorade Grillée was delicious and the Crème brûlée I had for Dessert was fabulous. The two courses were included in the Formule 19E, we enjoyed a Pichet of rosé to 50cl for only 6E. It was a great meal, it was very valuable what we needed.
