Auberge De Colombaz

I have been to the Auberge de Colombaz 3 times the last 12 years and I wonder why I imagined this time the service would be better this time after my previous 2 disappointing experiences. Well, today the lady of the house convinced me never ever to stop there again during my future skitouring or hiking trips. The last 2 times the service was bad, the menu linited and super expensive, but this time, the lady of the house even refused to serve my wife and I an early afternoon tea, as she said the restaurant was complet while only 1 third of the tables were occupied. A real shame that a bar/restaurant in such a nice location can continue to treat their customers so rudely. We couldn 't believe this is still possible in France today.

Absolutely fantastic evening. 3 Kms night walk up to the Auberge. Food was amazing and lots of it. Pascale was very friendly and hospitable. The toboggan run down at the end of the evening was hysterical. An absolute must, can’t wait to go back.

To see absolutely, an idyllic and warm environment. If you book for dinner, be careful not to eat anything because the dishes are very hearty. Swans are of a lightness that you can eat all night
