Contribuiți la feedbackAfter two great experiences in restaurants in Meribel, we found Le Croco somewhat less attractive in terms of quality, price and atmosphere. If you think of trying this restaurant, please know that most of the items are ordered on the menu... in advance of your arrival, if you make the reservation, local dishes such as fondue, so try to check the menu online. There were four adults in our party and we ordered fondue for two when we made the reservation and assumed that the other two in our party choose a nice selection of alternatives but not so. The menu has a small selection that does not have to be preordered. They finished the order Burger, which they described as "ok". The fondue was good. When we arrived, the dining room smells heavily of smoke, as they only light the fire in the fireplace. It was hard to breathe. Also note when you have cat allergies, there was a cat (I take a pet of the owner) in the bar where drinks were served. The waiting staff was friendly and offers a good service until we asked for the check. We asked four times, at least two different people before they were delivered. The price for what we got seemed high and that wouldn't bother me so much if the overall experience had been better. All in all, it was not a terrible experience, but we had so pleasant experiences the two previous restaurants that you did not help to compare.
Can’t believe this place has good reviews. Very rude service. Will definitely not be returning. Very disappointing
We are very polite English people and have visited this restaurant over the last 20 years. The proprietor has always been unfriendly and rude, but this year was something else. Our first day we had a late lunch there and asked for no tomato in...two burgers, as both teenagers had server allergies when younger to raw tomatoes and won't even try them now. She said it was to much trouble and to pick them out, which meant them leaving the tops and the cheese. Then we had a booking for 12pm one day, but friends we were meeting because of ski lift times, could not meet us until 10am, so we asked to put our table back the day before by one hour. She thought about it and then said no, it was too much of a bother, so our friend quite rightly so cancelled our lunchtime booking. We had a table booked for the Friday night, but not wanting to risk her just being difficult, we organised a different dinner and when I went in to cancel our table for the Friday night, she said she had cancelled it anyway! I am glad I had the decency to act appropriately. The food is okay, but we will not be spending any of our hard earned money at this place again!
I thought this was expensive and the owner was a little lax in her serving of the food. However as my fellow traveller had been there many times before she did say that this was unusual! I personally thought the food was very nice but...not really worth what we paid for it. The restaurant is long-standing and well known and is worth a visit to do the 'cooking your own ' experience!
Feeling home with Brigitte and Thomas! Whatever at happy hours, for lunch just off the slopes or for a great dinner, we always enjoy the welcoming atmosphere, great fire place and delicious moutain dishes
