Cafe with bad service. They don't answer or take more than half an hour to ask and serve. The cafeteria food leaves a lot to be desired. Burnt bread, Sandwich made with sweet bun. A disaster.
I do not share that opinion when they describe this Parador as one of the best in Spain. The simple rooms, without a coffee maker or other details that are offered in 4-star hotels, in the bathroom the gel, shampoo, etc. are multi-purpose bottles, not individual bottles. The air conditioning should be checked because the noise is annoying. Of course the Palace is very beautiful, the location excellent and the staff very professional, attentive and friendly, perhaps this is the best thing they have. Rooms: 3 Service: 5 Location: 5
It is one of the most recently restored paradores in Spain, having passed some twenty years since its inauguration. With a stately appearance and Herreriano style, a small copy of it Escorial was built by the Duke of Lerma when he ruled Spain. During his government he stayed away from wars and conflicts, giving more importance to leaving good buildings and court parties that they enjoyed. It has an internal patio where you can have a coffee or a good local wine in a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by stone columns that extend 5 meters under a glass roof that gives natural light to the plants that decorate the square cloister. Located in Lerma, a beautiful cobblestone town where the story of the Priest Merino who fought against the French and has his tomb among the places to visit lives. In winter you have to go warm.
