Agaves - León de los Aldama

This restaurant is surrounded by many other restaurants, but yet, it stands alone. Great food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notched! Highly recommend by this traveler.

Agaves is a step above casual, this open air restaurant offers traditional Mexican flavors and dishes. Sharply decorated, with a modern feel, and living wall. Also there was a 6 person live band making great music. Try the Escamol, it tasted great and was well worth the bragging rights. My steak was perfectly prepared and tender, and it arrived at the table quickly. Drinks were great and the service could not have been more attentive.

Tried to rip us off, meal ok, two steaks ordered medium. One was what you call medium the other is raw in middle, it was sent back twice and still was raw in middle! When we when to pay with Visa card we were ask if we wanted to tip 20 or 15%. I said 15%, I couldn't see waiter enter the amount he landed hand held machine in front of me and said enter pin, no price shown. I told him I cannot see price I'm entering pin to match. Another waiter rushed over and said enter pin, enter pin. I entered pin and then checked the recipe surprise surprise they had given themselves and extra tip above 15%. Worth checking the tip they enter on the Credit card machine.

Wonderful environment with excellent food and outstanding service. A great place for a business lunch. A most interesting starter menu.

Food here is upscale and absolutely delicious! Everything here is so tasty might sound a little crazy but you need to try their ant egg caviar! Yes it might sound wrong but you won't regret it. At first i didn't know what I was eating as it was ordered by my guest but it ended up being very delicious if you are a little daring. The meats are flavourful and the Tecquila reserves are sippingly amazing! Cheers!
