El Bodegón - Leon

I went to Nicaragua for 20 days and went all over and this was my favorite place my only regret was discovering it to late, I arrived around 10pm and it had a great atmosphere and decorated perfectly, I loved the live music and drinks were awesome, I will be visiting Leon on my next trip to Nicaragua just to visit el bodegón again :

I stopped here for cocktails twice. On my third visit, I ordered the lechon on a bed of cassava. I was pleasantly surprised because I had never eaten casava. It is a Yuca. Taste and consistency close to potatoes. The traditional mojito and with passion fruit as well as the traditional michelada were delicious. Highly recommended.

Incredible food! Very good drinks as well. Staff was very attentive. One of the best meals we’ve had on our trip so far. Definitely visit!

Nice atmosphere. Good food and huge cocktails. Def recommend the chicken wings! That portion was great, the wrap was a bit small. Staff was very friendly and accommodating

Wonderful food, atmosphere and service. I had the Lechón a lo Cubano Tradicional con Yuca (Suclking pig Cuban Style with Yucca served with a salad). Well seasoned and delicious and affordable (280 cord $8). For those that have never had yucca before it's very similar to steamed potatoes, but more savory. I also got the largest glass of limonada with mint I've ever had after 4 years living in Nicaragua. Most restaurants limonadas are overly sweet and usually not cold! But not here. Highly recommended.
