Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Lenexa

Tried their sunrise something something. It was cold, delicious, refreshing and good. Got brain freeze. We ate outside at the seating for two. Shaded by the building we had a lovely talk with a cool drink.

Friendly staff, great food. Only issue I have is that my sides are always Moldy. Got two bananas and they went straight to the trash can. Didn’t want to drive back 15 mins just to replace them. Love the app and the ability to order from the click of my phone. Not long of a wait.

Not up the their regular good standards. First off get rid of the paper straws. They are horrible to drink through. It may have been that our smoothies weren't blended throughly. Chunks blocked up the straw and there was ice left in the bottom after finishing the drink.

Went in with 2 of my girlfriends for lunch. Had a staff of 2 teenage boys. Ordered the caprese sandwich which is supposed to come with tomato. Opened up the sandwich to a single 1/2 slice, not a whole Alice, half of a slice. Still tastes good so didn 't complain. Needed silverware for the corn aide that my friend ordered so my other friend went in to ask for one and was told I guess but only because you 're cute which made her super uncomfortable. My friend that needed the fork couldn 't find her wallet and ask if one of us would go in and look for it while she searches her car. My friend who went in for the fork was too uncomfortable to go back in so I went in to ask, and they didn 't even recognize me from the order I placed 5 minutes before hand. Long story short, the staff doesn 't pay any attention to the customers they 're serving unless it 's to sexualize them. Probably won 't be back to this location. Hope they get retraining.

Would NOT recommend going here if you’re a person of color. Every single employee in here made it seem like I wasn’t even there, but was more than willing to greet every other customer that wasn’t a POC. To make matters worse I ordered ONE smoothie, 5 minutes later 2 guys walk in and order two entrees and two smoothies. Some how they managed to not only get their food and smoothies before me but were able to finish almost half of their entrees before I even received my order. Do better, customer was horrible.
