I'm very familiar with good restaurants. It is far and between you to a truly extraordinary place, I am sure you will agree. In the very charming Westjutland town of Lemvig, a true culinary jewel is hidden on the harbour side, overlooking the Fiord of Nissum Bredding . We went there with business partners. For the first course we had seafood ravioli and for the main course we had fish of the day. I don't apologize if I say this dinner was one of the best and most tasty dinner I've enjoyed for decades. The ravioli was perfectly boiled, served tastefully in a delicate cream sauce and with every ingredient come to its full right. We chose a green Veltliner as a companion wine that was a perfect match. And yet the best should come. An excellent cod (fish of the day), so perfectly cooked that we had to talk to the cook to understand how this rather humble fish was cooked to such a perfection, accompanied by the tenderest mushrooms and herbal ricette. Simply excellent and could not be found better in any of the Michelin restaurants we visited all over the world. Once again we chose the crisp green Veltliner as a perfect companion for this delicious food. While the dinner was enjoyed in a very charming environment, it was made by an exceptionally charming and friendly hostess Ellen, who perfected the experience with her Western Jutland charm. Do not miss this place, even if you have a distance to travel.
