Rina's - LEMON TREE PASSAGE

This place initially looked promising, and I really don't like complaining, but I had one of my worst dining experiences ever here. There was no table service and the staff simply had no idea what they should be doing. It was late lunchtime and the place was less than half empty but we had to wait ages for the food. In fact we had to go and find staff three times to remind them about our coffee and food, which was always "just coming" (with a vacant look), and we suspect the chef had no idea how to do Eggs Benedict as they came out awash in BBQ sauce - YUCK!! The Thai Beef Salad was marginally better, but we were both appalled by the lack of anything that resembled service, and the poor construction of the meals.I'm sorry but I simply cannot find anything nice to say about this establishment and would recommend that you save your hard earned cash and don't spend it here, or at least wait until the cafe eventually get their act together.

Service: not professional but compensated with friendliness☺ Menu: good selection for brekkie, lunch + snacks. Platter available for Easter music and jam on foreshore. Rina's across the road from a lovely, peaceful location that becomes lively and popular especially with families on Sunday.

My partner and I recently went to this cafe to get some takeaway lunch, as the usual place we go to was very busy. This cafe only had a small family of 4 dining in the cafe so we thought it'd be quick service. My partner and I ordered s&p squid w/ chips and salad and a chicken burger with chips. Unfortunately this took approximately 25 mins and when we were handed our takeaway there were no chips. When I stated that we didn't have our chips the cook replied "we weren't sure if you wanted them or not". I found this poor as they could have confirmed with us when we ordered, however on the menu it comes with chips so I don't understand why they didn't include it in our takeaway. So we then waited another 10 mins for our chips and then went to eat it in the park across the road. Unfortunately the s&p squid and the chips were undercooked and my partners chicken burger was ordinary. We will not be returning here and will next to bear the wait at our usual takeaway.

Ci siamo fermati solo per un caffè, posto carino, il caffè era buono e abbiamo guardato con un pò di invidia la coppia seduta a fare colazione con un invitante, profumato e fumante bacon eggs.. Dai loro volti deliziati, direi che la colazione era ottima. Gentilissima la ragazza al banco, molto simpatica e frizzante. I due signori al tavolo, ci hanno salutato, dicendoci di essere li a colazione tutti i sabato mattina, da quando si sono trasferiti in questa zona.. proveremo anche noi ad andarci un sabato mattina..

I'm always wary when taking Sydney friends to local restaurants for the first time but I didn't have to be - the menu was varied and every dish ordered came out on time , was hot and absolutely delicious. Most of us had the blackboard specials (Thai and Italian) and no-one was disappointed. The food was excellent.The best thing about the evening though was our absolutely delightful waitress Teagan - her service was friendly but efficient and her knowledge of the dishes we ordered was spot on. A great asset to the restaurant.We will definitely be back!
