Outstanding chicken strips! They're crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside—truly the best I've ever had. You can't beat fresh chicken fried to order. The restaurant is owned by Coop, who also runs Coop's West Texas BBQ just across the parking lot, so the high quality here is no surprise. My wife and I always grab meals from both places when we're in Lemon Grove. While prices have gone up, the quality remains top-notch. Update: We ordered a large batch of chicken strips and fries, and they were fantastic as always! They had been closed temporarily due to staffing shortages, but they're back in action now.

I had a wonderful experience during the pandemic. Tiana was my cashier, and it was truly refreshing to be served by someone with such a positive attitude. The Chicken Waffles were spot on—juicy, savory, and sweet. Another highlight was the bustling atmosphere with so many people enjoying themselves, which speaks volumes about the food and service at Coops West Texas BBQ! This wasn't my first visit, and after such a delightful interaction, I will definitely continue to support this business.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The chicken is delicious, and the staff is wonderful. I noticed a review claiming the food lacked flavor, which was not my experience at all. The meals are freshly prepared and very affordable. While the seating is outdoors, I believe they have indoor seating at their other location above the highway. If you’re in the area, definitely give this place a try—you won’t regret it. Even though I don’t live here, I’ll come back every time I visit Lemon Grove. Don’t miss out on the best food around!

Besides order wrong the chicken was good the frits are nothing special waffles are thin fried okra had no taste. Would you like to give it 3.5

Flavorful chicken, best fried okra this side of the Texas border and service with a smile. Small order of the dark meat fried chicken was a generous portion along with the okra. We shared this meal with a meal next door at the BBQ place they also own and run. Delicious all the way around. All outdoor seating under umbrellas with an outside bathroom too.
