Contribuiți la feedbackHidden in the valley of the Passade lies the inn “Zur Ortmühle”. This is about 10 km southeast of Lemgo and north-east of Detmold. In 1709 a grain and oil mill was built there. The right of mill expulsion was transferred to the builder according to the law of the mill. Since a daughter of the builder married the Müller Arend Hermann Mesch from the Broker Mill in 1726, the Ortmühle has fed almost without interruption all descendants with the name Mesch, and held the fidelity of the mill until 1956. Since 1634 the Müller generations bear the name Mesch. Due to this number of years, today's landmark of the local mill was created, the house coat: Lippian rose with mill wheel, the initial letter of the name Mesch and the year 1634. Today the mill is in the 14. Family-owned generation. The family name has recently changed to Reinking during the last generation. In connection with the so-called mill decommissioning in the 1950s, the Müller August Mesch set up a slender room in 1956. His son Ernst August Mesch took over the restaurant with his wife Annemarie in 1971. In 1996, Horst Dieter Reinking and his wife Annette, née. Mesh, passed on. We were very kindly greeted there and took place in the beer garden, from there you look at the campsite and meadows and forest. The name of the local mill is due to its special border position. In the old language, the term “place” is not for the locality in the present sense, but rather for the designation of a remote corner in the sense of angle (e.g. “location” of the roof tiles walking around the corner). The towns of Blomberg, Detmold and Lemgo meet at the local mill in the Passade Valley. At 30°C a small Hövels beer, water and cola. In 2000, Radio Lippe called his listeners to calculate the geographical centre of Lippes. It turned out that this is on the site of the local mill. Thus, a tree was planted in place by the Landrat Heuwinkel and the head of the Cataster Office Peter with the inscription “Medium Lippes”. That was certainly not the reason why my wife ordered the lip plate, but that was a vegetarian dish. I ordered the Rumpsteak with herbal butter, with fries and salad. We then talked to the host people about the inn and history. I found the food great, as well as the toilets are all clean there. In front of the house free parking. The inn I really recommend, there are inexpensive German cuisine without a Schnack. A menu with prices is available on the Internet. We also wanted to go further to the Detmolder Open Air Museum. However, we preferred to do this because of the rising thunderstorm, and then moved to the storm towards Bremen via Minden.
