Half Time Sports - Leland

Have heard a lot about the wings at this spot. Turns out I'm not sure I agree with the reviews I'd heard word of mouth. The bartender was great, easy and prompt service. Fresh beer (we kicked the tap on a local brew). The wings were a great size. Large and juicy. The hot sauce was more peppery than hot, not my favorite sauce or flavor. Not really what is expected. The teriyaki sauce was plentiful, sweet, and tangy perfection! Tried the Cajun sauce, but it was a rub and I'm not a fan, thought it was going to be a sauce and don't recall if it's on the menu as a rub or a sauce so my disappointment could be all my fault! The celery was fresh, the blue cheese dressing was delicious. Had an order of the potato skins, bacon bits, green onions, cheddar cheese, topped with sour cream!!!! Oh My! Yummy! These were not skimpy skins either! These guys serve healthy portions or real sized food! While these may not have been my fav flavors, they were all prepared very well. Note: Thursday night is Karaoke Night...sing amongst yourselves!!

Looking for a place for lunch on the ride home from Wilmington and found this place. Our server, Buffy made recommendations... a Reuben for me and Cowboy burger for my other half! They were so delicious that I didn't even stop to take a photo!! The fries were delicious too! They have a great beer selection so we will be making a return trip!

When you watch one of the cooks take out trash and go back to the line to continue cooking without washing his hands and then learn that the health dept. shut them down for staying open while they had no hot water, you just call it a day and hope for a new spot! Can't even drink there for fear of their dishes not being sanitized. It's a real shame, too because they have a good draft selection. Leland could use a great (and clean! sports bar.

Hot wings were average. Not that great. The buffalo chicken philly was really good. Lots of flavor. Buffalo chicken wrap was alright. Nothin to harp about. The side salad was the best thing. Tons of toppings and flavor for a huge side salad. Well done. The bartender was super cool and hooked up the pours on our bacardi and cokes. The seasoned fries were amazing. Cooked to perfection with great flavor and crunch. Get the fries!

This place has been slowly going downhill for awhile now. Came to bar today to grab an app and a beer with my wife. Bartender was a big guy who didn't seem to be in best mood. Said he would be with us in a second. Walked by us about 3-4 times and didn't even grab a beer order. After about 7-8 minutes we left. This visit was our last straw. The Joyce is much nicer and much friendlier. We also have been visiting willoughbys and they are nice and friendly. Food is always average and service almost always sucks. No more halftime for us.
