Contribuiți la feedbackI wanted to share my experience at this restaurant, specifically with their chips. Unfortunately, every time I have visited, the chips have been undercooked, soggy, and almost white in color - not at all what I expected from a chippy. The service is provided by miserable teenage girls, who likely get their attitude from the owners, a miserable husband and wife. It's disappointing to see such poor quality in a place that is only open on matchdays. If they can't make an effort for just a couple of days a month, maybe it's time to consider closing down. It's no surprise that they are up for sale, as they can't even manage to cook a proper chip.
I ordered two portions of chips and curry sauce on the 23rd of August, totaling £8.20. Unfortunately, the portions were very small and the chips were undercooked - some even raw in the middle. The curry sauce had a strange consistency, like jam. This was by far the worst chips and curry sauce I have ever had. I would advise caution before dining at this restaurant.
I sometimes visit this chippy because it's across the road from a stand at Leicester Tigers' ground and it's a short walk from Leicester City's King Power Stadium. The food is tasty I've never had a bad meal from there although the chips are pale whereas I prefer them browner and crispier. For someone on their way from or to the Tigers or Leicester City, it's not a bad call.
Always rated this place but not anymore I don'price increase. But when it comes to skimping on the fish I was absolutely disgusted you will never get my custom again and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody else the quality is good but very small portion fish it's just greed,
Great value for money at this chippy directly opposite Leicester Tigers ground, and short walk from Leicester FC King Power Stadium. Kick off for footy was 5.30 p.m on a Saturday , so went here at 4pm just getting busy. There was a queue to the door and people joining it all the time, so my timing was perfect. All food cooked freshly to order by a team of 4-5. Service prompt and friendly. Lovely thick chunky haddock and excellent chips. You do not wish to stray too far from sporting venues when hunting for food and this location is perfect. I will be back. Incidentally the rugby match Leicester vs Bristol Bears had just finished and Nathan Hughes, the Bristol and England player was in the queue just behind me. He ordered enough for half a dozen or so, so I guess the team were training on this stuff, or commiserating after a surprise defeat ! Nathan Hughes is a massive guy, would not want to mess with him !
