Wild Wood Pizza - Leesburg

This restaurant is relatively new and has a stylish appearance. The pizza is delicious, but there are some issues with the service. They offer a QR code to access the menu on your phone, but the waiter did not provide any other options. We noticed that the table behind us had physical menus, but we were only instructed to scan the QR code. Once you do scan the code, your tab and order are taken through your phone. This means that if you order an appetizer with your meal, everything will arrive together, eliminating the opportunity to snack before your main dish. There is minimal interaction with the waiter, making the dining experience feel underwhelming. It is also inconvenient that you have to enter your credit card information before placing an order. We wanted to pay with cash, but had to inform them at the end, adding to the inconvenience. Overall, it felt more like a strange experience with Uber Eats rather than a traditional dining outing. We most likely will not return to dine in the future, although we may consider takeout orders.

While it may not be entirely fair to judge a restaurant based on a Valentine's Day experience, that was unfortunately when we decided to dine at this establishment. We had made a dinner reservation, keeping in mind that we had a 7:30 movie to catch at the Cobb Theater next door. We informed our server about our time constraints as soon as we were seated. However, by 7:15, our pizza had not yet arrived, causing us to feel anxious. Our server reassured us that it was almost ready, but shortly after, the manager came over to inform us that our pizza was still waiting to be cooked in the wood-fired oven and wouldn't be ready in time for our movie. To make up for the delay, the manager comped our drinks and offered us a complimentary cheese pizza that had just been cooked. Unfortunately, this cheese pizza turned out to be one of the worst we had ever tried, lacking in sauce and cheese, and essentially just a circle of bread. Additionally, we were disappointed by the lack of information on the beer list regarding the sizes of their drafts and the high prices, especially considering that a 10 oz pour was priced between $7-10. We hope that this was just an off night for the restaurant, as they are relatively new, and that our future experiences will be more enjoyable.

We made a reservation for Valentine's Day for our family of 6 but never received our food or an explanation. Despite being understanding of the restaurant being busy on a holiday, we sat at our table for over an hour and only got the salad we ordered. Our server kept telling us our pizza was almost ready, but it never came. We finally asked the Host about our order and he was clueless. We decided to leave and ended up going to Chick-fil-A instead. It was not the evening we had planned.

This location is great, but if you order anything other than a pizza, prepare to be disappointed. The salmon was cooked well, but the sauce was bland and the orzo chewy (not al dente, nor cooked). The staff were very pleasant they just need to improve non pizza selections or stop serving.

Best pizza we have had since moving to area a year and half ago. Great and looking forward to returning
