Black Walnut Brewery - Leesburg

Walking up the driveway it felt like we were walking into someone's back yard BBQ. Cool atmosphere and dog friendly. Staff appeared overwhelmed while we were there. Like one or two girls working and probably 30-40 people trying to get beer They were super nice and the beer was good! Be careful on the patio though. Birds like to hang out in the tree above......

Stopped in today to sample their beers. Thank goodness they offered flights! I had a flight of 4 beers: yellow lab, peach, stout and brown. They were all good, perhaps the peach was above average. Worth a stop by and some time in the back yard at a picnic table to enjoy. Seems like a nice place for that. They would?ve earned 4 stars except my wife asked for a coffee as we departed on a Saturday afternoon at 5 pm and they said their ?coffee taps were closed.? Really?? Youcan?t make a coffee? UNSAT. Ridiculous.

Let me tell you... I got super impressed when I tried 5 different beers there... Flavor was on point, definitely recommend this place for quality beer ????

Awesome tap list, with some beer styles you won't find elsewhere in the area. And they do them well. A barrel-aged Belgian stout aged in port barrels sure isn't an easy beer to pull off, yet they did it well, and it was extremely balanced, with everything coming through (see photo). Service was great, as Jamie was awesome to talk to, and just a great experience, with awesome beers as well. Will be back soon!

Black Walnut Brewery is a really fun place to hang out and enjoy local brews that are not afraid to venture outside the box. My husband and I were visiting Leesburg for a fun night out and almost walked past this brewery, but there was something about the place that just made us curious to want to venture inside. I'm so glad we did. The bartender and other patrons were really welcoming. We ordered two of their darkest beers and grabbed a chair to just sit back andrelax. The peanut butter porter was as great as I expected and the chocolate/berry stout was actually really good too. The music play list was right up my alley and I found myself singing along to some great Country hits (I was not theonly one . My husband just shook his head and laughed, but he knows anything he says will just further encourage me...lol. They are pet friendly and have multiple rooms to enjoy as well. They have great t shirts along with beer for sale. I definitely recommend Black Walnut Brewery to anyone who enjoys a little adventure and great company while sipping some local brews.
