Contribuiți la feedbackI recently revisited Wild Oats after a few years and have dined there four or five times this year. I am pleased to report that my previous issues with cold plates have been addressed. Each time I visited this year, the plates were heated and a attentive staff member made sure our food stayed hot. However, there is still a long wait between receiving our food and paying, which could be easily resolved by paying before being served. The last time I visited, I was told that I would have to go to the bar for a drink, which I found inconvenient. The staff in the kitchen and serving the food have always been friendly, polite, and helpful. The quality and variety of meals have improved, but the cooks still struggle with Italian food and pasta should be avoided. I would recommend taking it off the menu and sticking to dishes they are more comfortable with.
In contrast to some I enjoyed the meals before the waiter service was introduced. I prefer to choose what I eat in the self-service style bar. ok, it is not the scratch, but the introduction of waiter service and a trendy menu will not reach much. it's style. about substance now. the caffe is not an alternative. there is no food really to sell. when we left, it had a sandwich and some dried pizza place. Eating and a game is not an option for us unless the dinge changes.
Starter was an unusual goat cheese and beet root rolled in a mandelkruste with balsamglasur. it was probably the best use of ingredients that I had a flash of culinary genius that unfortunately did not last until the main came. I had 45 minutes to have my meal before the show started so decided that the goulash thought it was done, so would not take too long. it had to be in schovel, as it took to get old. not bad, because the meat bark was overboiled to the point of the Fibrous/card boardy, the sour sauce tasted by artificial cream/substitute with a strange irreplaceable sweet and instead of a beautiful full-bodied paprika it was served with a red dust that had no annoyance at the palate. the rice was dry and stuffed. I had no time to complain, as it was curtain!
I have been to the Playhouse for the second time since Christmas and I really enjoyed the new style of service. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. I tried the belly swans dish and my partner had the vegetarian option, which she loved. We will make sure to book in advance for our next visit as it was very busy. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends. Thank you.
After attending the matinee performance of White Christmas, we decided to book a table at the restaurant which re-opened at 5pm. Typically, we would walk into town after matinees, but with a disabled friend in our group, we opted to dine at the theatre. Initially apprehensive about the standard of meals, we were pleasantly surprised. Although the lunchtime meals were self-service café style, the evening meals offered table service. We were delighted to find that everything we ordered was excellent - very tasty and well presented. The prices were reasonable, and the wine list was also affordable. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and they deserve praise for their service. Overall, it was a surprisingly good dining experience.
