Archie's Leeds Trinity

This place is located inside the shopping mall across from Leeds Marriott where I stayed in town for two days. The Cauldron is one of the stationary food trucks on the second floor of this Trinity Kitchen. I came in a little bit too late and they ran out of the last pierce of Ox Cheek. It was braised in IPA for 8 h and cooked with homemade smoked chilly sauce. I feel obligated to write a review so other patrons can give it a try. The chef said that item is his favorite too. So hope you will enjoy it!!

The Trinity Kitchen is the kind of thing I'd like to see in more cities. The option of having different eateries, some permanent, some pop up in style, rotating over time, is really quite a treat. And really, when is more street food a bad thing? I have to admit, almost every time I visit I end up going to the Chicago Rib Shack but on my most recent visit I did branch out to order Gyoza from one of the food vans. I'm sure if I were in Leeds more often I would try more of the options the Mexican and Vietnamese places look particularly promising [Edit: I returned the day after writing this review, the Vietnamese food is as good as it looks]. It's well worth signing up for the various loyalty schemes available, or downloading the Love Trinity Leeds app to collection points and rewards. The Kitchen isn't a well kept secret, and during peak times the crowds can be overwhelming and tables can be hard to come by, but if you can time things well then this kitchen is not to be missed.

Tonight I went to Trinitys kitchen. First of all, what a great idea to have all those kind of food in the same place, food truck style! Love it! We went to the Pho Vietnamese restaurant. It was delicious. I had the chicken bun which consist of noodles and vegs. To drink the ice tea was amazing. It was one of the best ice tea ive ever had. And because i dont like fizzy drinks, I ve had a few. Anyway, service was really quick. They give you a kind of remote that will light up when the food is ready. Clever. So, in the end, I loved it. The food brought me back to Vietnam thanks to the lemon grass and the mint in the food! :D

Trinity Kitchen is made up of about 10 (correct me if I'm wrong) restaurants (canteen style). The twist is that they're not all permanent and new restaurants take the place of old ones. I'm a huge fan of this! If you go to Trinity often, or live in the area, it gives locals a great way to try new places. It also makes for a really interesting dynamic and atmosphere! (It also makes it hard to review and rate) I ate at Pho, a Vietnamese restaurant, and had the Beef Brisket Special Pho (pronounced Fuh supposedly). I didn't love it to be honest. The beef was great but the noodles, veg and other ingredients didn't have much flavour. My girlfriend did have a chicken salad (I think it's called Goi Ga) and that was actually incredible. The salad is only 200 calories and is made of different sorts of onions, spring onions, peppers etc and is super sweet with a little bit of bitterness. I could stop stealing bites of that dish! Because it's a canteen, the service is limited but still decent. I would definitely go to Trinity Kitchen and try Pho (if it's still around)!

What a treat!! I returned to Leeds for the day to catch up with an old friend and we went here for lunch. Lots of different options available so there really is something for everyone! I love the street food vans in particular and I heard that they change frequently which is fantastic. Lots of seating available and we managed to find somewhere even on a busy Friday lunchtime. You can also find somewhere to sit until you are 'buzzed ' when your food is ready for collection. Overall I was impressed as you wouldn 't have to worry about pleasing all your friends. Food from around the world all under one roof! I plan to return and try the food from Pho as it looked amazing.
