Our dining experience at the restaurant tonight was disappointing. The food was dry and overcooked, with a limited menu to choose from. The staff and management lacked energy and enthusiasm. I would not recommend this establishment.
The twisted thistle is an amazing restaurant. It's definitely worth a trip from Pittsburgh or Erie. If you're in the area just go.
They have more seats than waitresses and you will be waiting a long time. I was hoping that after being seated with a reservation we wouldn't have waited an hour before be served bread. At no point did a waitress stop by the table. I really can't believe how we were ignored for so long. Let me make this clear. We waited for an hour with a reservation a week in advance and we were at no point seen by a waitress. It's was truly a disappointment. They could care less about your business.
Our first night out since having our first baby and decided to make reservations with my wife's brother and sister in law. Reservations were made for 730, after a 10 minute wait in the lobby for someone to show up we were led to our table. After 25 mins we started to question if the servers missed our table but soon heard the couple beside speak about the lack of service as well. Finally the hostess whose first night on the job came to our table for appetizers. We ordered appetizers and drinks. Bread and water came promptly however lipstick was unfortunately all over the water glassware. 25 minutes later and no wait staff or any indication that management or the servers currently working (who were to preoccupied with their regulars) cared for our business. The moment we decided to leave our apps showed up (minus one selection) and no drinks. We paid for the apps and promptly left without further purchases. Management's apathetic view and concern with having patrons enjoy an quality meal was clearly shown. Our group will never set foot in the doors again. If the venue's plan was to discourage business and outsiders from dining, the plan succeeded
