They tell us there's only sandwiches left, I wonder how to finish the Saturday polenta? and I am told that they have already closed the kitchen. Fortunately, they bring us two cuts of meat and cheese. I think it's absurd at this time of year to close the kitchen at that time!
The context is from Rifugio vero, of those of once. No dirt road or cable car. Here you arrive only on foot after an hour and forty quiet step and 600 meters of altitude difference. And finding an excellent and abundant polenta and zola is a lot of stuff.
After the discard to reach the refuge we are initially greeted in a somewhat cold way by one of the managers, atmosphere that has however heated immediately upon the arrival of a colleague who with a guitar and good food lit souls and spirits of the hikers arrived on the spot. The view is obviously fantastic and the food accompanied by a beautiful frozen beer repays the effort made to arrive. I recommend to follow the hut on social media because at spots are organized very interesting culinary events and could come from one moment to another the opportunity to return up there
Group of three girls, we have supper and overnight at the refuge reaching it comfortably by means from Milan, 40 minutes train to Lecco, from the station 20 minutes bus to the cable car and from there 2 and a half hours walk, very panoramic. Angelo and Valentina are excellent hosts and delicious food offered. Value for honest price. Base for excursions of different difficulty level. Recommended.
In the hall, a four-table to divide into six... where do we sit? Stools found and solved the problem... A tip to the managers: more space for occasional visits, for example for a sandwich...
