Pasticceria Luca Capilungo - Lecce

We were visiting Lecce for several days as tourists. One day, our son‘s birthday, we needed a cake and followed a recommendation of our host. The selection of cakes (and pastiche) at Luca’s place is huge and we found a nice chocolate cake for the four of us. The team asked for the name, wrote my son‘s name in lovely letters and decorated it nicely for us before serving it. It was both a big surprise and a tasty cake! It was not too sweet and it was light, unlike the usual chocolate cakes. The coffee was good, the team was friendly and helpful and the pricing was more than fair. There is no way they can do better. 5-star. Loved it and can highly recommend it to anybody visiting the city.

Luca is a master chef. The pasticciotto is the top of Salento. During Christmas he has a fantastic panettone, different ones. Try also the delicious appetizers or the super ice cream.

I recently brought my guests to Luca Capilungo's Pasticceria and this ....even for a local like me.....was the best experience ever! He showed us how to make pasticciotto and we tasted his delicious rustico and pasticciotto. They were both fantastic and very delicious. I recommend anybody visiting Lecce go visit Luca's place in the morning, as that's one pasticciotto and rusticos are made, fresh every day. A memorable experience. I cannot thank Luca enough for his generosity and time. All my guests said he was the highlight of our food and wine program.
